Ocean Rowing Expeditions
Courser Racing offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Veterans to participate in ocean rowing expeditions. These expeditions serve as the capstone experience of our program, challenging participants both mentally and physically. The preparation and execution of these long-distance rows not only build resilience but also foster a sense of teamwork and accomplishment. Each expedition allows participants to rediscover their purpose while raising funds to support the mission of Courser Racing, all while navigating open waters to a designated destination.
Team-Based Training and Mentorship
Our participants are placed on teams of 3 to 5 people, formed based on shared experiences and professional goals. Each team will have specific maritime training requirements tailored to the expedition they are preparing for. Courser Racing facilitates this structured training plan, ensuring that participants are fully prepared for the physical and mental demands of the ocean rowing experience while also supporting their transition to civilian life through mentorship and professional development. This approach mirrors the structure and discipline of a military training cycle, providing participants with a well-organized and supportive environment that builds teamwork, resilience, and readiness for the challenges ahead.
Business and Leadership Development
Courser Racing integrates real-world business experience into its training program by involving participants in the day-to-day operations of our nonprofit. From managing P&L statements to fundraising, marketing, and donor relations, participants gain invaluable skills in leadership and business management. Through hands-on involvement and mentorship, they learn the fundamentals of running an organization, preparing them for future leadership roles in any industry. This experience is critical in helping Veterans successfully transition into civilian careers.
